This in-service explains the concepts and differences between palliative and hospice care for patients and their families. At the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to describe payor sources for palliative and hospice care and identify someone who meets criteria for hospice services. Appropriate for presentation in all care settings.

Valerie Valiante, MSN

Valerie Valiante is a Registered Nurse and speaker.  She serves the mission of Trustbridge as Director of Palliative Care. Valerie’s experience includes a background in Patient Care Operations, Quality, & Education. In addition to her RN licensure, Valerie holds a master’s degree in Nursing Administration and Financial Leadership and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Please note: State of Florida requirements necessitate participants to attend 60 minutes of classroom instruction in order to receive one CEU (contact hour).  Attendance for the entire online webinar, as well as completion of a brief online evaluation, is required.
Certifications are emailed after completion.
